Kaley Cuoco opened up about her struggle after her divorce from Karl Cook. In the latest episode of the podcast, Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, the actress revealed how heartbroken she was.
She shared that she was “sobbing on the floor” ahead of the premiere of her 2022 series, The Flight Attendant. For those unversed, the Big Bang Theory alum was married to the Olympian from 2018 to 2022. Currently, she is engaged to actor Tom Pelphrey.

Kaley Cuoco revealed how she felt after her divorce from Karl Cook. Recently, she appeared on the podcast Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, where she talked about her ex-husband and current partner. She mentioned that she felt heartbroken on the night of the premiere of her 2022 show, The Flight Attendant Season 2.
“I was lying on the floor of this house that I shared with Karl. We were obviously divorced, ‘divorcing,’ and it was the day of the premiere. I was on the floor sobbing, thinking I ruined my whole life,” Cuoco shared. She added that she was in such a dilemma that evening because her emotions were seemingly all over the place.
During her conversation with Shepard, the 40-year-old also revealed that a few months prior, her manager had hinted at a guy named Tom Pelphrey. But Cuoco was going through heartbreak at the time, so she was not ready for anything new. However, two weeks after her sobbing episode, she went to New York with her manager, who reportedly also managed the 43-year-old actor.
Before meeting him, she “stalked” him on Instagram and was intrigued by his profile. Cuoco said that she knew she would spend her life with him. The two soon started dating and welcomed their first child in 2023, before announcing their engagement in August 2024.
