At long last, there may be a break in the case of Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother. It’s been over a week since Nancy Guthrie was officially reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Police and the FBI have been stretched thin, desperate to find something that can enable them to track down the 84-year-old.
On Monday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office noted that there has been much more police presence at Nancy’s home. They say it’s part of the investigative process as the search continues. Along with that, they’ve confirmed “new leads” have come in.
The search for Nancy Guthrie has been expanded

There may be a glimmer of hope in Nancy’s disappearance. Not only have new leads been discovered, but authorities claim that the search has been expanded. Exactly what these leads may entail remains a mystery. Police say that it is to preserve the integrity of this criminal investigation.
Yesterday, Savannah released another video, asking anyone with information on this matter to contact authorities. She’s been absent from the anchor desk at Today since news of Nancy’s disappearance came about. Meanwhile, authorities are also handling any ransom notes. There was one which was sent last week to a pair of news outlets. One surfaced on Monday, reportedly seeking $6 million with a deadline to deliver that money by Monday.
For the most part, the investigation thus far has come up empty with no suspects or persons of interest thus far. The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information that may help in this matter. Reportedly, the FBI are not aware of any continued communication between the Guthrie family and the alleged kidnappers.
Savannah and her brother Cameron have both sent previous video messages saying they are ready to talk to whoever may have taken their mother. Savannah asked for proof of life, adding days ago that she’s willing to pay for her mom’s release. A former NYPD investigator believes the alleged kidnappers may be playing games.
