Former Real Housewives of New York cast member Bethenny Frankel has a theory about the abduction of Nancy Guthrie. She shared her hypothesis on Instagram yesterday evening.
The last time Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie’s mother was seen was January 31 after a family dinner. Nancy was reported missing the following afternoon when she missed a regular virtual church service with friends.
Bethenny Frankel theorizes a rival journalist took Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy

Bethenny posted a video on her Instagram page that she thinks a rival journalist is involved with Nancy’s kidnapping. She spoke about investigators’ theory that “the ransom note was written by someone extremely articulate who has connections to TV stations in Arizona.” Savannah formerly worked at an Arizona TV station prior to her current gig.
She then spoke about how the abductors would return Nancy to her Tucson home “in a matter of hours” after the ransom was paid. “So is it some competitive journalist that Savannah won, got the gig, broke out, and made all the big bucks, and that person has resentment and wants to get their payday that they deserve?” the Skinny Girl founder asked her 4 million-plus followers. “I have not heard anything like that, and why does that type of thing sound logical to me?”
Bethenny is referring to the alleged ransom note sent to various Tucson news organizations, along with TMZ. This demanded the Guthries pay $6 million in bitcoin by 5 p.m. MT on February 9. Page Six reported that $152 in bitcoin was sent to the account on February 10.
Bethenny added that she is most likely missing information and asked fans for help in putting the pieces together.
The former Bravo celeb’s fans responded by agreeing with her and sharing different theories on this case.
One wrote, “I don’t think you’re wrong. Any theory at this point is plausible.” Another responded, “Oh I’m all over this one.”
