Internet Calls Out Josh Peck For His ‘Mocking’ Video

Former Nickelodeon star Josh Peck is garnering backlash online for allegedly mocking a family trying to save their house from fire. The 39-year-old actor posted a video of himself spraying water on the concrete rather than the car after a video of a family trying to spray water on their burning house. Fans thought he was mocking the family for their efforts.

Josh Peck faces backlash for his new video

Josh Peck, who rose to fame with Drake Bell on Drake and Josh, seemingly mocked a family who were trying to save their burning house, according to fans.

According to Daily Mail, Josh Peck posted a clip of a woman’s futile attempt to throw water at a house engulfed in flames. The woman seemed confused and confounded by the real-life disaster. Peck followed this up with a second video, in which he stood in front of a car wash and sprayed the concrete rather than the car, seemingly imitating the woman’s desperate attempt to save the house. He captioned the post, “It’s in the effort and not the results.”

Fans reacted furiously to the video. Peck has since deleted this post.

One user started a conversation about this with a post on Reddit. The user wrote, “Josh Peck (In Now Deleted Post) Mocking Families With Limited Means Who Were Trying To Save Their Home From A Fire.” “Filming it in front of your shiny, nice car just goes to show how incredibly out of touch wealthy people are. Disgusting,” one user commented on this, while another user wrote, “Immature and disgusting behavior.” Another user added, “That’s disgusting and wasteful AF.” Another user wrote, “Why would he post this? Genuinely confused.”

Josh Peck previously faced backlash for not speaking out publicly when his co-star, Bell, came out about sexual abuse he faced as a teenager, a story he detailed in “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.”
