Kelsea Ballerini loves a new song released by a fellow country singer. The multiple Grammy Award nominee recently heard a tease for the new tune, which appears to be a subtle message about what tears a relationship apart.
That message resonates with Kelsea. The Country Music Association (CMA) winner reportedly broke up with actor Chase Stokes. The two have been in an on-off relationship for some time. Kelsea gave her take on the song she heard online.
Kelsea Ballerini commented on Ashley Cooke lyrics about “crossing lines”
Ashley Cooke’s new song is really resonating with people, especially Kelsea. On her Instagram page, the Florida-born singer teases her latest tune. Her lyrics talk about how Whiskey Nights and wandering eyes make messes. Ashley goes on to sing that “crossing lines makes exs.”
Kelsea gave the tune a massive seal of approval, sending plenty of praising emoji hands to her. The song also says Don’t deny what you did adding that it doesn’t matter how you spin it. Ashley has released three studio albums, with the most recent, Ace, coming out last November.
As for Kelsea and Chase, she has reportedly always been supportive of him, but he hasn’t reportedly often reciprocated that support. A source says the two are still in love, but merging their lives has not been easy. A source adds that the on-again, off-again couple are trying to figure out where they are both happy together. They add that it doesn’t appear possible now. This week, there were rumors that Kelsea suffered trust issues with the Outer Banks actor.
Chase and Kelsea went public with the relationship at the CMT Awards in April 2023. Kelsea’s album Patterns earned a Grammy Nomination for Best Contemporary Country Album earlier this year. Her song Half of My Hometown which she collaborated with Kenny Chesney won Video of the Year at the 2021 CMA’s.
