Savannah Guthrie is giving the public an inside look into her mom. This comes over 10 days after Nancy Guthrie went missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Savannah, her family and authorities have been frantically searching for clues to try and track her down for days.
The Today co-host and her brother, Cameron, have previously shared videos pleading for help in finding their 84-year-old mother. There are still no suspects in the case. On Thursday, Savannah released an emotional video showing everybody who Nancy the person is.
Nancy Guthrie has been missing for almost two weeks
Veering away from past pleas, Savannah’s latest video is simply a look into what growing up with Nancy was like. Given what’s going on with Nancy’s disappearance, it’s one that’s sure to tug at the heartstrings. It shows photos and videos of Savannah and her siblings as youngsters growing up with their beloved mother.
While there are no messages to the public for help or pleas to the alleged kidnapper, there is a caption on the Instagram post. It reads that, “we will never give up on her (Nancy).” It goes on to thank people for their prayers and hope.
Earlier this week, police detained somebody in connection with this case, though he was later released. Doorbell footage at Nancy’s home was recently released, showing a person in a ski mask among other things. Retired Phoenix police sergeant Troy Hillman believes that is a huge break in this case.
It has been nearly two weeks since Nancy was reported missing on February 1. She needs her medication for her heart, while Nancy’s blood was discovered at her home. Meanwhile, several ransom notes have been sent to news outlets, including one that demanded $6 million. A former NYPD detective believes the alleged kidnapper may be playing games in this matter. Savannah has said that she’s ready to talk to the person allegedly involved and is willing to pay the demands.
