The famous Eagles veteran, Jason Kelce, who remains one of the most popular figures in the sport, shared his opinion on the polarizing A.J. Brown, especially regarding his performance last season, in a new interview with Sports Radio 94 WIP. The former star, who spent 13 years with the Eagles, remains a dominant presence beyond the pitch.
Jason Kelce slams Eagles star AJ Brown in latest rant
Jason Kelce called out Eagles star A.J. Brown in a new interview, citing that he could see a lack of effort from the star player. Brown’s year has been nothing short of dramatic, with the player expressing his frustration with his production and performance several times. He also criticized the offense for not being able to get him the ball.
For Kelce, it felt like Brown was lacking in effort. “When you see a teammate not go all out, like that’s all you want from your teammates. It’s all we want as fans, and it’s a really hard thing to optically watch. It’s frustrating to watch. Few things are infuriating more when that’s optically apparent,” Kelce told Sports Radio 94 WIP (via The Sports Rush).
This was noted by many others who observed Brown play last year, too. Brown’s best stretch of games came when the team was on a losing streak. The entire dynamic could have hit the whole team harder. But the Eagles came together well to deal with the crisis. Kelce further added about this, “The reality is, most of the words that come out of that building from players, from coaches, from [anybody], everybody loves A.J. Brown. And you can tell when a lot of times people are just feeding you bull crap or whatnot. There’s a genuine appreciation for A.J.”
Brown has now been with the Eagles for four seasons, and does hold the potential to be the star of the team.
