Days on from the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, a pathologist has shared chilling details about the blood traces found outside her home. Nancy, the mother of Today’s Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her Arizona home between January 31 and February 1.
An expert gives insight into the blood found outside Nancy Guthrie’s home

Forensic pathologist Dr Michael Baden shared key insights with Fox News Digital about the blood found outside Nancy’s home. The expert suggested that the blood droplets came from “either the hands or the face.”
“The nature of the blood spots with little pale centers or donut shapes is typical for drops that come from the nose or mouth, because they’re mixed with air,” he explained.
Michael then theorized that it’s an ominous sign Nancy was unable to stop the blood from pouring onto the floor. “This blood dropped onto the porch area during an abduction,” he noted. “They indicate that it did not occur by innocent means.”
He continued: “These are not innocent droplets. From the shape, number of droplets, and the place of the droplets outside the house on the porch, they are entirely consistent and indicative of occurring during an abduction.”
To that, another expert added their own theory, based on the “projected” blood patterns. “Nothing I’m seeing would indicate that this person has a traumatic injury like a gunshot wound or a stab wound,” said forensics-certified bloodstain pattern analyst Jeffrey Gentry via Radar Online.
Earlier in the investigation, law enforcement confirmed the blood found outside Nancy’s property belonged to her. Since she went missing, several ransom notes have been received, and a $50,000 reward is being offered for information.
Investigators have also released surveillance footage recovered from Nancy’s doorbell camera. It showed a person wearing gloves and a ski mask with a gun holstered in their waistband.
