Princess Diana ‘Would Fly Into Crying Fits at the Drop of a Hat’ for These Reasons — Source

Feeling pain was a common trend for Princess Diana throughout her life. That’s according to a royal source who says the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry would often get emotional. Any bad news received during her royal life apparently left her visibly upset. A source says that the former wife of King Charles would “fly into crying fits at the drop of a hat.”

Any form of bad news would reportedly deeply affect her. Things from terrorist acts to her young sons in boarding school were among the many that left her emotional.

During her all-too-brief time on earth, Princess Diana wore her heart on her sleeve. That’s part of how she got the reputation of being a Princess for the people. During a time when royals were seemingly stone-faced no matter what was making news, Diana’s human side seemingly always shone through. “She (Diana) felt everything so intensely,” a source told RadarOnline.

Those emotions, according to many, are what redefined how the public saw the monarchy. One source recalls interacting with the late Princess about an outfit she was wearing. Diana told them it was a RUC Green, referring to the old Northern Irish police force. That reportedly got her crying, remembering a bomb explosion that took place in Northern Ireland.

Diana was well-known for breaking the traditional moulds as a royal. This began on her wedding day to Charles. She went against royal traditions by wearing a family tiara rather than borrowing something from the royal collection. That accessory was seen on her numerous times after saying I do to Charles.

Her kids going off to boarding school and their struggles as youngsters would often affect the Princess. Overall, sources say Diana would often absorb others’ pain. She died in 1997 in a car accident in Paris at the age of 36.
