Jada Pinkett Smith is speaking out on the allegations made by one of her husband’s ex-friends. Bilaal Salaam says that she threatened him in the lobby of the Regency Calabasas Common in 2021. He is seeking $3 million in damages in his lawsuit.
Bilaal has previously described himself as a longtime friend and former associate who worked with Jada’s husband, Will Smith. The man commonly known as Brother Bilaal also alleges that the Red Table Talk host launched a retaliatory campaign against him years ago. According to him, this was because of his refusal to help Will with crisis management in 2022. This came after Will infamously slapped Chris Rock in the face on stage at the Academy Awards.
Jada Pinkett Smith called the allegations “nonsense”
Jada is maintaining her innocence in this matter. She calls the case against her complete “nonsense.” Jada calls the allegations against her “false, uncorroborated,” according to TMZ. She believes that they’re being made as part of an ongoing campaign of harassment against her.
In addition to that, Bilaal also sued Jada for intentional infliction of emotional distress because she denied that she ever saw Will engage in sexual or intimate behavior with men. According to Bilaal, in 2021 Jada told him in the hotel lobby he would “end up missing or catch a bullet.” In November 2023, he said that he once caught Will having sex with actor Duane Martin. Will’s reps say he completely fabricated that story.
Bilaal claims that his reputation and his health deteriorated thanks to Jada’s alleged malicious and reckless conduct. He also says that he lost a lot financially as a result. He is said to have suffered great emotional damage from this.
