Craig Carton’s Recent Comment Sparks Travis Kelce Leaving Chiefs Rumors

A rumor is circulating that Travis Kelce could potentially switch teams as he heads to another NFL season. However, he has yet to make a final decision about his return. Radio personality Craig Carton shared a rumor on the podcast. He suggested that Kelce might move from the Kansas City Chiefs to the New York Giants. This will also enable him and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, to stay in New York.

Travis Kelce leaving Chiefs rumors surface

During The Craig Carton Show, Carton shared a rumor about Kelce’s future in the NFL amid the uncertainty around his playing career. He said, “Rumor is that Travis Kelce wants to come back for another year… Kelce wants to play for the NY Giants!”

Revealing how the move could benefit his personal life, he added, “He and his wife can live in NYC!” However, Carton noted that the rumor shouldn’t be taken seriously, as nothing has been confirmed. “It’s just a rumor — do not sleep on the Giants signing Kelce this offseason,” he said.

Kelce has yet to decide on his playing career, weighing whether to retire or return for another season. Earlier, in an interview, he revealed he might make a decision by the end of the season, possibly in early March, before the start of NFL free agency. Kelce said, “I want to give the Chiefs a good opportunity, whether I come back or not — or whether they want me back or not. I’d like to make that decision before they’ve got to get draft picks and free agency opens to fill the roster appropriately.”

In an earlier conversation on The New Heights podcast, Kelce admitted that his passion for football is very much alive, but his decision will likely depend on the results of his physical assessment. “It’s a tough thing to navigate, but at the same time, if my body can heal up and rest up, and I can feel confident that I can go out there and give it another 18, 20, 21-week run, I think I would do it in a heartbeat,” he elaborated. However, there appears to be a strong possibility of Kelce’s return, following the recent positive updates by new Chiefs coach Eric Bieniemy.
