Following the release of the latest Jeffrey Epstein files, a clip of Sarah Ferguson defending her ex-husband against Virginia Giuffre has resurfaced, with critics branding it “disgusting.”
The clip is from the former Duchess of York’s 2015 appearance on The Meredith Vieira Show. In it, she branded Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s accuser a “salacious” liar.
Virginia Giuffre made huge allegations against ex-Prince Andrew

Virginia, who was one of convicted sex offender Epstein’s most prominent victims, made several allegations against Andrew when he was still a prince. In 2022, the pair reached an out-of-court settlement in regard to these claims. But the latest batch of Epstein files has renewed criticism of the former prince.
Now, a clip of Sarah defending Andrew against Virginia, who allegedly took her own life last year, is going viral. In the clip, from January 2015, the former Duchess said: “I don’t understand how people can make salacious lies up.”
“This is defamation of character of a person that is the opposite of how he has been portrayed,” she added, before describing Andrew as “one of the greatest men I’ve ever met in my life.”
“It is a shockingly accusatory lie which I won’t stand by and let anybody believe,” she continued. “I have to shut it down right now.”
In a Reddit thread discussing the clip, one person branded Sarah’s behavior as “embarrassing.”
“Probably one of the worst people walking this earth,” someone else said.
“She’s knee deep in it,” commented another Reddit user. “She can’t claim she didn’t know what was going on.”
They continued: “Disgusting to see this coming from a woman and a mother of two girls. I guess she is ok with it as long as it’s not her girls being trafficked.”
Sarah herself is mentioned in the Epstein files numerous times, too, although inclusion is not an indication of wrongdoing. Among the documents, there are emails that show the disgraced duchess asking the late financier for money to help pay off debts.
