TMZ Makes Huge Decision With Nancy Guthrie Notes Being Received

TMZ won’t be revealing everything about Nancy Guthrie’s case from here on out. The tabloid outlet has several ransom notes in relation to the mother of three. She went missing on February 1.

Police believe it to be a kidnapping, while several messages sent demanding money in exchange for the 84-year-old. As the search for Nancy continues, TMZ will be handling things a little differently on one front.

TMZ will stop revealing notes from a person claiming to have information on Nancy Guthrie

An outlet known for publicizing some of the craziest stories imaginable is taking a step back in Nancy’s case. The company’s founder, Harvey Levin, explained to Fox News’ Sean Hannity why they’ll no longer be publicizing ransom notes they may receive. “It tips off the kidnapper,” said Harvey. He believes it gives the alleged kidnapper a leg up on the police.

If any notes come to them again, only the FBI will know about it. On Monday, TMZ reported receiving a fourth ransom note. It demanded $50,000 in Bitcoin. The note also allegedly read that this person saw Nancy five days from Monday with her supposed kidnappers. TMZ made a counter offer for that the person to come forward and receive the FBI’s $100,000 reward.

In Tuesday’s interview, Harvey said his company has been in regular contact with the FBI. TMZ is one of three news outlets that have received notes regarding Nancy’s disappearance. Tucson stations KOLD and KGUN also got notes.

Nancy’s home in Tucson has been investigated, in particular, her doorbell security camera. A man was spotted on that camera wearing a ski mask not long before Nancy went missing. A description of the alleged suspect was sent out by the FBI. We’re into the third week of searching for Nancy.
