“Grazie, Snoop!” thanked Sofia Valmadre, daughter of the restaurant owners, in a heartfelt X (formerly Twitter) post.
Explaining what led to the heartwarming gesture, Valmadre revealed that the 54-year-old was at Cronox gastropub in Livigno, grabbing a bite while serving as an NBC Olympics correspondent. He had ordered a cheeseburger, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, and fries.
Upon trying to pay the bill, the payment system declined Snoop Dogg’s card, sparking a potentially awkward moment. However, the restaurant management graciously waived the payment, insisting he keep the meal at no charge,” Valmadre told NBC Los Angeles.
“He sent his staff to take [the card] and pay, but they couldn’t pay. I don’t know why, it wasn’t going,” Valmadre added. “So my mother told him that it was OK [to take the food] without paying.”
True to form, Snoop Dogg expressed sincere appreciation for the restaurant owners’ kindness and decided to pay it forward.
