Brandi Carlile is the latest celebrity to take a shot at the US President. The Crowded Table singer performed at Minnesota’s Target Center on Saturday. The ICE shootings in Minneapolis have put Donald Trump and his administration in a negative light among many big names. Two people were killed by ICE agents this year, with the President’s administration defending the controversy.
Brandi believes legal immigration is one issue the President’s team do not care about. In an interview she says those who voted for Donald in the 2024 election “got f*cking scammed.”

Manipulation is not a tactical approach that Brandi appreciates. In an interview with Rolling Stone following her Saturday concert, she compared Donald to a vacuum salesman, who once talked her into buying that expensive product. “We’re living in a scammy time,” alleged Brandi about Donald’s second term as President.
While she believes his election victory in 2024 was a con job, Brandi says it’s not too late. “They need to get mad and change their minds,” she added about Americans. Brandi says that after purchasing the vacuum, she called the company and convinced them to take the product back at no cost.
It is not the first time someone alleges manipulation against the President. Marjorie Taylor Greene was once among the biggest Make America Great Again (MAGA) advocates. The two are no longer allies, with the former US Representative calling MAGA a brainwashing tactic.
For their part, ICE has said it is scaling down its mission in Minneapolis. There appears to be a lot of fear and hopelessness in the area, according to reports, since the controversial ICE killings. That is something that makes Brandi extremely sad.
