We can expect to hear plenty of explosive accusations at the Timothy Busfield trial. The actor is facing four charges of alleged criminal sexual contact with a child and child abuse. They stem for reported incidents brought forth by child actors during The Cleaning Lady.
On that show, Timothy played an immigration officer on an episode which aired in 2025. He also directed and produced that series. The actor, known for shows like The West Wing, has denied the allegations. He pleaded not guilty in court last week to the charges brought against him.
Former accusers of Timothy Busfield could testify
Timothy’s alleged past may soon catch up to him. TMZ reports that the prosecution intends to bring many of his accusers to the witness stand. The tabloid news outlet obtained a list of witnesses for the upcoming trial, which includes four of Timothy’s alleged victims.
One of those listed claims that the Field of Dreams actor “kissed her and put his hands down her pants and touched her privates.” They allege that Timothy “begged the family to not report to law enforcement.” The agreement reportedly was that if the actor got therapy, the family would remain silent. The father of the alleged victim was a therapist at that time.
Timothy was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month. Larry Stein, an attorney of Timothy’s, expressed concern about that ruling. He believes that the jury in that matter wasn’t driven by the facts in reaching its final ruling.
The other three witnesses on the list were said to be involved in an alleged incident with Timothy in 2000, 1993 and 1991. Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman charged Timothy last month. He is facing an accusation of touching two boys on the set of The Cleaning Lady. The two alleged victims were brothers who were seven and eight at the time.
Those alleged incidents occurred between November 2022 and the spring of 2024. Timothy believes that the parents of the alleged victims want revenge for him cutting their kids from the show.
