Ashley Tisdale Pens Another Striking Note After Mom Group Essay Drama

Ashley Tisdale has returned with another personal note after her headline-making reflections on friendships within a mom group. This time, the actor is addressing the impact social media has had on her daily routine and mindset. In a candid blog post, she explains why logging off has become a necessary habit. The update arrives as public interest in her earlier comments continues to grow online.

Ashley Tisdale explains why she frequents taking ‘social media breaks’ amid mom group drama

In a new blog entry shared on Monday, Tisdale revealed that taking regular breaks from social media has become a necessary habit, especially during periods of heightened online discussion about her personal life. Promoting the post on Instagram Stories alongside a photo of herself in pajamas, she added the caption, “I love social media, but I don’t think it’s where we’re meant to live our lives.” She added that stepping away helps her feel “more present.”

The essay, titled “Does Your Brain Feel Too Busy? Take A Social Media Break,” explores how constant posting once became second nature for her. Tisdale wrote that she noticed herself automatically thinking about how moments would appear online instead of simply enjoying them. According to her, logging off changes that dynamic. “When I’m off social media, I’m more with my friends, more with my kids, more in the moment,” she shared. “Unsurprisingly, those moments are better when I’m not holding my phone at arm’s length trying to look casual.”

The actor, who is a mother of two, also described the mental exhaustion she associates with endless scrolling. She said the “sheer volume of information” online can quickly shift from entertainment to stress, leaving her feeling mentally drained. Taking breaks, she added, gave her what she called a “gift of perspective.” According to Tisdale, this allowed her to stay informed through traditional news sources rather than social feeds.

Her reflections arrive amid lingering conversation surrounding her earlier blog post about leaving what she described as a “toxic” mom group. While Tisdale did not publicly name anyone, online speculation linked several high-profile celebrity mothers, including Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor, to the alleged circle. A source previously told PEOPLE that the situation was allegedly more of a “misalignment of values” than a dramatic fallout.
