Kristen Bell Was ‘Neglected’ by Dax Shepard on Valentine’s Day

Dax Shepard talked about how he celebrated Valentine’s Day on a recent episode of his podcast, “Armchair Expert.” The actor confessed that he spent the day with his daughters, Lincoln and Delta, and “neglected” his wife, Kristen Bell. He mentioned that he made a card and heart-shaped floaties for his little ones, and that was how he chose to celebrate the special day, “neglecting” his wife.

Dax Shepard didn’t take the conventional route of celebrating Valentine’s Day with his partner this year. Instead of going out with his wife, Kristen Bell, he decided to celebrate with their daughters instead. The “Parenthood” actor talked about what he did on the 14th of February on a podcast episode of “Armchair Expert.”

Shepard said there are some viral studies circulating on the internet, one of which claims that couples who are not into celebrating Valentine’s Day are much happier than those who do. He continued that it’s really a terrible day of the year to try and get flowers or go to a restaurant because anything that is normally enjoyable becomes unenjoyable that day.

When the host asked him about his Valentine’s Day celebrations, the “CHiPs” actor said his girls are his Valentines, so he “went all out” for his daughters, Lincoln and Delta.

“All I can say is that someone had a less than exciting Valentine’s Day versus their anticipation,” continued Shepard. He mentioned that since his daughter loves floaties for the pool, he got her “heart-shaped floaties and inflated them and put them in the pool.” He recalled making each of them handmade cards, drawing pictures in them, and writing how he felt about them.

Speaking of his mother, Shepard added that his mom, Laura Labo, was also in town, noting that she has been his Valentine for 51 years. He continued that he definitely “neglected” his wife and his mom, saying that, from their point of view, he was spending a lot of energy on his other two Valentines.
