Savannah Guthrie’s reward has brought in 750 new tips about mom Nancy’s disappearance
On Tuesday, Today co-host Savannah revealed her family is offering a million-dollar reward for information on her missing mom. Just hours later, the FBI recieved 750 calls to its tip line, per NBC.
Speaking on the Today show, former FBI supervisor Jason Pack said the reward suggests a strategic pivot. “There are some people who were close to what happened, who know what happened,” he said. “[They] now have a decision to make. And that decision was really, really ratcheted up by this reward that Savannah and her family offered.”
In an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday night, Savannah commented on the family’s reward offering. “Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home,” she said. “We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope.”
As well as the reward, Savannah announced the Guthries will donate $500K to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. “We know that we are not alone in our loss,” the TV presenter said, noting that “millions of families” endure similar uncertainty.
“We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours who are in need and need prayers and need support,” she went on.
