Lindsay Lohan is happier than ever, according to her new cover star appearance for Vogue Arabia.
In recent years, the former child star has been open about having over a decade of sobriety under her belt. Now, she is gracing the cover of the iconic fashion magazine to discuss her “renaissance” after years of public struggle. Dressed in a dazzling green zip-up, the Mean Girls actress stunned as she gave a rare insight into her personal life.

Lindsay has a strong connection to the Arab world, of course — her husband, Bader Shammas, is a Kuwaiti citizen. The pair started dating around 2018, and got married in April 2022. They share a son, born in July 2023.
However, the Parent Trap actor was well acquainted with the region before she met Bader. She first moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, back in 2014. In the interview for Vogue Arabia, she said that moving to a new country gave her peace after many years of public scrutiny and mental health struggles.
“Being in Dubai is very grounding,” Lindsay claimed. “I get to just spend time with my family. The city gives me a sense of being with what’s most important.” She went on to state that leaving America gave her son more privacy than he would be afforded by the press and paparazzi in her home country.
“That’s a big breath of fresh air, having to not overthink everything you do every second.”
Another interesting reveal from the interview is that Lindsay is apparently uninterested in returning to acting full-time. She hasn’t been fully absent from screens, having reunited with Jamie Lee Curtis last year for the Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, as well as a voice cameo in The Simpsons as Maggie Simpson.
“I wasn’t having fun in the business anymore,” she said regarding her move to Dubai. “I wasn’t finding roles I loved. It’s not a life I wanted to live, you know? It’s not a real life. It pushed me so far away that I moved to the other side of the world. And I’m so glad I followed my gut.”
