Never-Seen-Before Video in Nancy Guthrie Case Gets FBI’s Update — Report

In the investigation of Nancy Guthrie’s suspected kidnapping case, a new piece of security video seemed like a massive clue for the missing Today show anchor’s mother. The Ring camera footage caught cars driving on back roads right around the time she vanished from her Tucson home on February 1.

It looked like a promising break in the case. However, authorities dismissed the theory because the FBI reviewed the footage and decided the cars had nothing to do with the abduction.

FBI reportedly discounts new ring camera video from Nancy Guthrie’s neighbors

Per Fox News, video from Elias and Danielle Stratigouleas’ house in the Catalina Foothills seemed like a break in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping case, because their house sits on a back road that avoids major intersections and leads right out of Guthrie’s neighborhood. Their street-facing camera recorded a dozen cars passing by between midnight and 6 a.m.

Notably, two cars drove past at 2:31 a.m. and 2:36 a.m., grabbing everyone’s attention because the timeline matches up perfectly. An armed suspect approached Guthrie’s front door at 2:12 a.m., and her pacemaker then disconnected from her phone at 2:28 a.m.

Pat Brosnan, a retired NYPD detective, looked at the footage with his team, and he reportedly believes that the vehicle seen at 2:36 a.m. is a Kia Soul.

But despite the timeline making sense, federal agents shut down the lead. A source connected to the investigation told TMZ that the FBI reviewed the video and called it a dead end, explaining that the specific routes and the area where the cars were driving led the agency to conclude the vehicles have no association with the kidnapping.

The dismissed video leaves investigators searching for real answers in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping case. Guthrie has been missing for about four weeks now, and the police still have no named suspects and no vehicles linked to the crime. The Guthrie family has been urging for tips and continues to offer a $1 million reward to bring the missing woman home.
