Nancy Guthrie Home ‘Available’ to Family ‘Since the First Week,’ Says Sheriff

As the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, her family will be allowed back inside the Tucson, Arizona resident’s home for the first time since her disappearance.

The mother of the TV host Savannah Guthrie was last seen on January 31, after having dinner with her daughter Annie. On February 10, the FBI released Ring camera footage of a masked man at her door on the night she went missing.

Since then, Nancy’s family have offered a $1 million reward for her return.

The mother-of-three’s home “has been processed and has been available,” since her disappearance, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office told People. However, authorities have returned to the house for further investigation.

Authorities first visited the home after Nancy was initially reported missing on February 1. Reports stated blood was found on the steps outside of the property, thought to possibly match her DNA. Additionally, a Ring camera outside the home had been ripped out, preventing their ability to trace the abductor’s movements.

However, almost two weeks later, the FBI retrieved some Ring footage. The video shows a man in a balaclava at the door, who attempts to cover the camera with a plant. The masked figure appears to have a holstered gun on him, as well as a backpack.

The bag is touted as a possible breakthrough for the case. Authorities have identified it as a black, 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack. Walmart has been cited as the likely retailer from which the abductor purchased the backpack. Tracing the purchase could lead authorities one step closer to identifying Nancy’s kidnapper.

However, as of February 27, no lead suspect has been identified in the mother-of-three’s disappearance.
