Quentin Tarantino Death Hoax Dismissed Amid Social Media Frenzy

The speculation you might be hearing online about Quentin Tarantino is greatly exaggerated. The famed Hollywood director has been trending online. The word is that the Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Bastards director had died.

While anyone can start rumors online and make it seem true, this one seemed to catch many people by surprise. One X account that shared this news had over 150,000 followers, leading some to believe it was a credible source.

That account reported that Quentin died following an Iranian missile attack on Israel. Now, one publication tied to the story is setting the record straight.

Quentin Tarantino is still alive, despite misinformation online

Contrary to what some might have believed, Quentin is alive and well. That’s according to Deadline, whose name was credited on the X account sharing the supposed sad news. They say that there is no evidence that Quentin has passed. They’ve reported the post on X.

This false report follows another similar one. An X account posted that comedian Jerry Seinfeld had died in a similar manner. Deadline was again credited by an X post about this, something the publication says is also false.

Nowadays, technology can make plenty of things appear realistic. There have been AI-generated images of the Oscar winner posted on X, showing him in a bomb shelter in Israel. The posts follow the military action being taken by the United States and Israel against Iran over the weekend.

Although Quentin is renowned for many of his movies, there are some in Hollywood who might not take too kindly to him. Actor Paul Dano may not be his biggest fan. That’s because in December Quentin blasted Paul, deeming him “weak sauce.” He was referencing Paul’s performance in There Will Be Blood. Quentin felt there was a major flaw in the film starring Daniel Day-Lewis.

Quentin and his wife, Daniella Pick, are firmly settled in Israel, going back and forth between Israel and the US.
