Anita shared the health update via Instagram Stories. She uploaded a photo lying in a hospital bed with a breathing tube strapped to her face. She included a message to her fans to let them know what she’s been facing.

“Some not so good news, sorry,” she began.

Anita, who appeared on Drag Race Down Under Season 1, along with Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World, went on to explain that doctors diagnosed her with pneumonia. It’s an infection that can prove to be deadly without proper care, but fortunately, Anita appears to be in good hands and spirits.

“The good news is that the diagnosis came in today, so the specific treatments can begin,” Anita explained in her post.

The bad news is that this health emergency has forced her to miss out on some upcoming events. The queen needs to rest, but she’ll be ready to light up stages again soon.

“Unfortunately, I’ll be here at least 24 hours before recovery at home,” Anita added.

Send some love to Anita while she bounces back from this health scare. She’ll be back on stage twirling and making audiences smile in no time.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is streaming on WOW Presents+. The flagship US series is currently airing on MTV, Fridays at 8/7c.
