A relaxing family holiday took an unexpected sour turn for Princess Eugenie last month. The mother of two was out and about in Switzerland with her family when some disturbing news was reported. Her disgraced father and former Prince Andrew was arrested on February 19th on suspicion of misconduct while in public office.
Hours before that, Andrew’s youngest daughter was reportedly enjoying some quality time with her husband, Jack Brooksbank and two young sons in Gstaad.
Princess Eugenie was on a ski trip hours before ex-Prince Andrew’s arrest

It’s hardly the kind of news you want to hear while enjoying some family time in a picturesque city. The day before her father’s arrest Eugenie was hitting the slopes in Switzerland, enjoying some skiing. According to Hello! her family took a lunch break at Restaurant Waldmatte. One guest who was there at the time told the publication, “They were tucked away in a corner and casually dressed in ski gear and jackets.” The nanny and a group of friends were reportedly with the Princess’s family as well.
Although Eugenie and her older sister Beatrice held onto their royal titles, the two have suffered because of their father’s and mother, Sarah Ferguson’s, scandal. The two Princesses have reportedly been banned from the Royal Ascot racetrack for the year. Some insiders say that neither Eugenie nor Beatrice are speaking with their father since his alleged implication in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal came out.
Sarah, who sent e-mails to the late financier Jeffrey, saw her latest children’s book pulled from publication. Although it’s believed she didn’t commit any crime, she could be questioned by the police about her ex-husband. A top barrister claims that she may be a key witness in this matter. It’s hard to tell if she would help police put Andrew away, though, given that she’s defended him against scandals all these years.
Even though they are still royals, Eugenie and Beatrice are said to be staying out of the spotlight for now. This is believed to be a way to protect their children.
