Alex Consani Dons Sheer Jean Paul Gaultier Dress Before It Hits the Runway

Alex Consani made a striking appearance at the Grand Dîner du Louvre in Paris. She wore a daring Jean Paul Gaultier look that hasn’t even appeared on the runway yet. Celebrities often wear outfits fresh off the runway, but Consani took things a step further and debuted a design from the brand’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2026 collection before the official show. In fashion terms, it was a pre-runway moment.

Alex Consani’s sheer black dress offered a glimpse into what Duran Lantink has in store for the iconic French house this season. Lantink, who became the brand’s creative director in April 2025, continues to shape the label’s new direction, while showcasing the rebellious energy that Jean Paul Gaultier is known for.

Consani’s dress featured a sheer bodice that hugged the body closely, creating a sleek and sculpted silhouette. The design was paired with a long, flowing sheer skirt that moved softly as she walked. One of the most noticeable details of the look was the visible underwear element underneath, a bold styling choice that added a playful edge to the outfit.

Another standout feature was the sculptural neckline. The padded, tube-like shape extended around the neck and shoulders, giving the dress a dramatic structure and adding dimension to the minimal silhouette. This design detail, according to W Magazine, highlighted some of the sculptural techniques seen in Lantink’s earlier Gaultier collections.

The look balanced softness and structure, combining the lightness of sheer fabric with strong architectural details. Consani completed the outfit with black sandal heels and stacked metallic bangles. These added a modern touch without taking attention away from the dress. Her slicked-back hairstyle and minimal makeup kept the overall styling clean and sharp.

By wearing the dress before its official runway debut, Consani offered a preview of the direction Jean Paul Gaultier may take this season. If the look is any indication, Lantink’s upcoming collection will continue to explore sculptural shapes, sheer fabrics, and bold design elements that push the boundaries.
