Chappell Roan took the naked dressing trend to new heights in a cutout Vivienne Westwood dress for her appearance at the Paris Fashion Week on March 7. The gown was all Westwood drama at the front and party in the back. The “Casual” singer also attended the Mugler runway show last week.

Chappell Roan knows how to keep all eyes on her. At Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood’s Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear runway show, she stunned in Look 34 from the House’s spring collection. The dress featured long sleeves, padded shoulders, and a plunging V-neckline. Black beading and appliqué decorated the bodice, which cinched at the waist before flaring at the hips into gathered folds and cascading into a long skirt.
The real surprise came when Roan turned around, as the design was completely open on the side and back, putting her black thong and sheer tights on full display. The dress was a daring subversion of traditional formal wear that emphasized the contrast between the modest front and the absent lower back. The spring collection’s theme was boudoir meets beach. However, Roan completely skipped the sandy parts and kept it bold and boudoir.
The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer’s accessories leaned into the gothic regency vibes. She wore black dotted gloves and a ribbon choker trailing behind her back. Additionally, she wore a pair of circular black earrings. Finally, she slipped into burgundy, crushed velvet heels with black trim across the toes and around the ankles.
Roan wore her red hair in a towering, sculptural updo that served as a modern take on the Marie Antoinette pouf. Powder-white makeup, locked-out eyebrows, and high-placed pink blush completed her glam. Meanwhile, the dark, metallic lip created a sharp, dramatic focal point against the pale skin. Her glam team includes Genesis Webb, Andrew Dahling, and Lacy Redway.
