Police may have the person responsible for a Beverly Hills shooting in their grasp. On Sunday, the shooting allegedly took place at the home of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. According to police, no injuries were sustained in what appears to be an attempted murder.
Rihanna was apparently home at the time of the alleged incident. A call to 9-1-1 came shortly before 1:30 pm local time on Sunday. Reports suggest that an AR-15 style rifle fired off several rounds on Sunday.
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz is in custody for attempted murder
It didn’t take long for police to find a suspect in this matter. On Monday, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) told The Hollywood Reporter that Ivanna Lisette Ortiz is in custody following the shooting. The 35-year-old’s bail is $10,225,000.
The bullets apparently struck a wall int he home. Following the alleged murder attempt, cops followed the woman to a parking lot in Sherman Oaks. There, they apprehended her. It is unclear if the couple’s three young children were home at the time of the incident. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s kids are RZA (three), Riot (two) and Rocki Irish with the latter born last September.
In January, the pop singer helped the rapper break a common stigma around modern women. Loyalty and family were apparently responsible for his change in perception.
In 2022, the rapper was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Upon his arrest detective searched his home for clues in the alleged incident. In the end, a jury found the man born Rakim Athelston Mayers not guilty.
