Dermot Mulroney and Prima Apollinaare are officially divorced. Just months after the actor filed for divorce, an LA court signed off on their separation on Monday, March 9.
The Scream 6 actor and his wife are officially single
Per TMZ, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge signed off on the divorce between Dermot and his wife of 14 years, Prima. The publication had earlier reported that the exes reached a divorce settlement in January.
This included custody arrangements for the two children they share, as well as plans for their shared property and spousal support. While those specific details have not been made public, it’s understood that Dermot and Prima remain on good terms.
Dermot filed for divorce from Prima in June 2025. The couple were notoriously private about their relationship. They started dating in 2008, just one year after he split from his first wife, Catherine Keener. After two years of dating, Dermot and Prima tied the knot in 2010.
Dermot and Prima share two daughters, Mabel and Sally Mulroney, born in 2008 and 2009, respectively. He also has a son, Clyde, from his relationship with Catherine.
It’s unclear exactly why Dermot and Prima split, but TMZ shared details of court documents from the time. These appeared to show the actor asked for spousal support from Prima, but also asked the court to block her from getting any support from him.
Dermot shot to fame in the 1990s, playing the lead role in a string of romantic comedies, such as My Best Friend’s Wedding, which also starred Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz. More recently, he was in Anyone But You alongside Glen Powell. Prima, meanwhile, is a singer-songwriter, musician, and artist.
