Ex-Prince Andrew Skips Walk With Only 2 Loyal Royal Companions — Report

Prince Andrew did not appear during a recent outing involving two of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved corgis, according to reports and photos taken near his current residence in Norfolk. The dogs, Muick and Sandy, were photographed being taken for a walk close to the property where Andrew is now staying. Security personnel accompanied the pair during the outing, though Andrew himself was not seen in the images.

The photos, taken on a public road, show the corgis outside approximately six weeks after Andrew relocated to Norfolk. Following Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022, Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, took responsibility for caring for the monarch’s remaining corgis. The dogs had lived with the pair at Royal Lodge in Windsor, the long-time residence Andrew occupied on the Windsor estate.

However, Andrew and Ferguson left the property last month amid renewed scrutiny tied to Andrew’s past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew subsequently moved to temporary accommodation in Norfolk. Reports suggest he plans to relocate permanently to nearby Marsh Farm in the future.

Observers now believe he holds sole responsibility for the dogs’ care. During the recent walk, the two corgis appeared energetic as they moved alongside security staff tasked with accompanying them outdoors. The outing coincided with preparations by members of the royal family for appearances connected to the annual Commonwealth Day service, which typically draws senior royals to London.

Ferguson has occasionally shared glimpses of the corgis since taking them in after the Queen’s death. Last year, she posted two photographs of Muick and Sandy on social media to mark International Dog Day. “Life is simply better with a wagging tail at your side,” she wrote in the caption. “Celebrating our companions today and always.”

Queen Elizabeth famously owned dozens of corgis over the decades, and the dogs frequently appeared in photographs and public appearances alongside her. Muick and Sandy were also photographed waiting quietly at the funeral of the queen outside Windsor Castle as crowds gathered to honor the late sovereign.
