Sheryl Underwood Calls Out Joy Behar on The View

Joy Behar had an interesting take on the cancellation of a CBS talk show. The longtime panellist shared her thoughts with Sheryl Underwood on the latest episode of The View. The comedian served as a co-host for The Talk from its early days in 2011 until its end in 2024. She was a guest-host on The View on Tuesday.

Sheryl’s former daytime program was reportedly cancelled after 15 seasons due to consistently poor ratings. Joy, however, had another belief as to why The Talk is no longer on the air. That led to plenty of banter.

The View’s Joy Behar poked fun at Sheryl Underwood

The cancellation of The Talk has suddenly become a topic of discussion. On Tuesday’s episode of The View, Joy boldly declared that “God cancelled that show.” That got a rise out of the audience. Sheryl seemed to enjoy the humor saying, “That is why I’m on the ‘I Need a Job’ tour.”

Sheryl noted that Joy has had her share of situations with people. She added that she’s a guest host on The View and is trying to come back. Joy has had her share of heated words on the show before. On Tuesday, she called out Donald Trump, saying his second term in office is a “reign of terror.”

During the run of The Talk, Sheryl earned plenty of acclaim for her humor and wittiness. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award seven times for her work on that show. Sheryl took home an Emmy for her work on the program in 2017 alongside her colleagues on The Talk, which back then consisted of Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne and Sara Gilbert.

The View is bringing in panellists to add to its roster while Alyssa Farah Griffin is on maternity leave. Sheryl was the longest-running host in the history of The Talk. The show was replaced in CBS’s daytime lineup by the soap opera Beyond the Gates.
