Why Britney Spears’ Mugshot After DUI Arrest Won’t Be Released — Report

After her arrest in Ventura County, California, on suspicion of DUI, the public wonders when they will get to see Britney Spears’ mugshot, but unlike past celebrity cases, her booking photo will reportedly not be available for the common people to see. Spears is reportedly open to a treatment plan and may return to rehab. Moreover, her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, plan to spend time with their mother as she deals with the aftermath of the arrest.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office official reveals why Britney Spears’ mugshot won’t be released

A Ventura County Sheriff’s Office official told TMZ that they will not release the mugshot photos from Britney Spears’ DUI arrest. The official said that the department does not require releasing the photos and explained that the agency usually shares mugshots only in cases involving violent or dangerous offenses. However, Spears’ charges do not meet that standard, so the photo will remain off-limits for the public.

Authorities stopped the “Toxic” singer on March 4, after reports of a black BMW 430i driving erratically in Ventura County. Moreover, sources revealed that the officers accused Spears of speeding, drifting between lanes, slamming on her brakes suddenly, and driving without taillights, all before they pulled her over around 8:48 p.m.

Officers reportedly believed she had used intoxicants, thereby taking her to a hospital for blood testing. Then they brought her to jail, where she reportedly got very emotional in custody and cried frequently before authorities released her a few hours later.

Britney Spears now faces a court hearing for the DUI arrest on May 4. After the arrest, her Instagram account with more than 42 million followers disappeared from the platform, and her inner circle started speaking out. Her longtime manager, Cade Hudson, called the arrest “inexcusable” and said he hopes it leads to “long overdue change” in her life.
