Bachelor Nation’s Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt almost made the jump from ABC to Bravo.
The Bachelor in Paradise alums claim they were approached to appear on the upcoming Summer House spinoff, In The City. During the March 11 episode of their Not Married to This podcast, Joe shared that he and his wife got “a call” about the show.
“I don’t know if we were almost on [the show], but we had a call,” Joe explained. Serena added, “They had three … separate casts that they were looking at. We were part of one of the casts, [but] they went with a different one which makes sense.”

The couple confessed that they were nearly cast after Joe admitted Summer House is his reality TV guilty pleasure. Sadly, they both feel this season is “darker,” because we know that Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula have since separated.
“Honestly, they are both going to be so much happier [not together],” Serena commented.
Meanwhile, Kyle recently denied rumors that the couple’s breakup was due to his cheating. “It’s tough, there’s so much noise,” he told Andy Cohen on the March 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live
In February, Bravo announced the full cast of In The City. Furthermore, as the show’s logline says, “In the city that never sleeps, a group of New Yorkers navigate the biggest transitions of their lives — marriage, parenthood, reinvention and the reality of growing up without growing apart. Can they have it all, or will they need to choose between the lives they’ve built and the futures they never saw coming?”
Serena also noted that In The City will air after Summer House concludes. She predicted the show will reveal specifics on how Kyle and Amanda’s marriage fell apart.
