Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s controversies tied to Jeffrey Epstein continue to cast a shadow over him. Even after stepping back from royal duties, scrutiny surrounding his past connections and conduct has not faded.
That scrutiny intensified after his recent arrest. According to insiders, Andrew has grown increasingly anxious about how the case could unfold and has even begun considering drastic options.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faces life in prison if convicted

Police arrested Andrew on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Investigators believe he may have shared confidential information with Epstein during his time as a British trade envoy.
If the case eventually leads to charges and a conviction, the punishment could be severe.
“He says he won’t survive if he has to do jail time,” a source told National Examiner. “His lawyers are promising that they can solve this for him, that it will never reach the point where he’s facing prison, but he says he knows it’s in their interest to say that to him.”
The source claims Andrew understands that the outcome may be far from guaranteed.
“Fact is, there really isn’t a way to make any promises and there have been legitimate arguments presented as to why the law could send him to prison,” says the source. “He can’t discount that and just bury his head in the sand. That’s what landed him in this mess in the first place.”
Instead, Andrew would rather “be proactive and get ahead of this,” spills the source. “And for him, that means setting up an escape plan.”
According to the report, Andrew doesn’t expect help from the royal family. As Examiner previously reported, King Charles is unlikely to allow him to claim diplomatic immunity.
That may explain why the source says Andrew has begun looking into countries that don’t have extradition treaties with the U.K.
“He’s looking at places that don’t have extradition treaties with the U.K.,” the source reveals, naming Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Russia. “He is very serious about this. No way will he face the music.”
