Donald Trump was recently seen wearing a cowboy hat in the Oval Office after the company that manufactured it presented it as a gift. The post, shared on various social media platforms, has gone viral, drawing attention from American citizens.
Donald Trump spotted wearing cowboy hat at Oval Office
On Saturday, March 14, Margo Martin, Special Assistant to the US President, shared a short clip of Resistol CEO Dustin Noblitt gifting Donald Trump the Resistol 1776 cowboy hat. Martin captioned the post, “MUST WATCH! President Trump puts on a cowboy hat in the Oval Office.”
The white Resistol 1776 cowboy hat is a special edition commemorating the 250th anniversary of American Independence. It is reportedly worth $10,000. The clip shows Noblitt explaining the hat’s unique features to the president. He held the hat upside down and pointed to Trump’s name on it. Noblitt noted that it’s the first of the 250 copies the company produced, and that the Constitution’s preamble was printed on the liner.
Seemingly impressed, Trump looked at his associates and said, “We’ll put that in the museum.” Noblitt then held the hat right-side up and said it had a 10-karat gold American flag on it. Furthermore, he urged the president to wear it, “I think it’s your size.”
Trump wore the cowboy hat, garnering applause and cheers from everyone in the office. The clip then panned across the room, showing several people wearing cowboy hats, who appeared to be representatives of Resistol. “I will even take the box,” Trump joked.
On the same day, the company shared photos from the meeting on their social media accounts. It also included a close-up photo of the cowboy hat. They captioned the post, “As the Official Hat of the PRCA, Resistol was honored to present the President a Resistol 1776 hat, alongside the 2025 PRCA World Champions.”
While Trump supporters found the video endearing, others called him out for indulging in the activity amid the ongoing conflict with Iran. One user wrote, “I’m sure the families who have lost their children serving our country in the last week take great solace in this.”
Meanwhile, a second user replied, “Cool. Lets watch Trump play dress up with a ridiculously expensive cowboy hat while soldiers die and people can’t afford to live.”
Another user recalled former President Barack Obama wearing it, and said, “Nobody wore it like our man Barack tho.’
