Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives just dropped on Hulu, but we all know things move fast in MomTok. Those Mormons were already filming for Season 5 this week, but the word on the street is that things just got super messy between Taylor Frankie Paul and her baby’s father, Dakota Mortensen. Allegedly, the exes got so heated that production has been put on hold until further notice.

The SLOMW scoop arrived via TMZ. Their source said that production on Season 5 of the hit Hulu show has been “shut down” after Taylor and Dakota got into a huge fight during filming.
Supposedly, their fight was so bad that producers decided to take a break from filming. That’s kind of the opposite approach that most reality TV shows take when their cast members fight, so whatever happened with these two must have been pretty gross.
As MomTok fans know, Taylor and Dakota’s relationship has had some major bumps since they were first introduced to us. In 2023, Taylor was arrested for domestic violence and child abuse after she threw a metal chair and a wooden playset at Dakota. One of them allegedly hit their kid on the head. She wound up pleading guilty to a lesser charge of aggravated assault and was sentenced to three years of probation.
After that, she and Dakota tried to make things work, but that clearly hasn’t been going well. At the end of Season 4, we saw Taylor fly off to Los Angeles to film The Bachelorette. Meanwhile, Dakota claimed they hooked up the night before she left.
There’s no word on exactly what caused this latest altercation between the on-again, off-again exes. It’s also unclear just how long production plans on keeping things on ice.
