Chelsea Handler calls out RFK Jr. for his previous mansion
Chelsea Handler opened up about buying the Brentwood mansion that previously belonged to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The comedian reportedly bought the property for $5.9 million in 2021 and has recently called it out for having a “toxic” environment.
During the March 5 episode of her podcast, Dear Chelsea, the comedian revealed, “I bought RFK Jr.’s house in Los Angeles five years ago. I still have not lived in this house, that’s how f–ed up this house was.” Blasting RFK Jr. for not taking proper care of the property, the comedian continued, “The idea that this guy is in charge of the health of our country when he didn’t even have a proper foundation at his house.”
Handler went on to detail how terrible the condition of the mansion was at the time of purchase. “When they opened up the house, they were like, ‘This house is the most toxic environment,'” she said. Contractors had reportedly warned Handler that she would not be able to reside in the property for several years. “I’m not exaggerating any of this,” Handler stated.
Handler shared that she initially got assurance that the renovations were complete. However, many issues were still undiscovered until the final leg of inspection. Additionally, the property also allegedly included an illegal outdoor storage structure. “Now we have to remove his illegal bull—t from my property,” the comedian shared. She concluded on a lighter note by saying, “Anyway, I’m not angry about it or anything. I’m totally over it.”
