Bachelorette Suitors Feel ‘Betrayed’ After Taylor Frankie Paul Allegations

The domestic violence accusations against Taylor Frankie Paul have caused The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives producers to hit pause on Season 5. However, it’s also having a major impact on Taylor’s upcoming season of The Bachelorette.

Taylor has been accused of choking her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, in addition to abusing their two-year-old son. Now, the word on the street is that Taylor’s suitors from The Bachelorette are feeling betrayed by all of the negative press.

What exactly happened between Taylor and Dakota remains under investigation. The two exes have very different stories about who got physical, but they’ve both been ordered to undergo psychological evaluations.

While the police continue their investigation into the incident, People spoke to sources close to the Bachelorette, who say several men from the season are “losing their minds” over these latest developments. This isn’t the warm welcome to Bachelor Nation that any of them were expecting.

“They’re extremely disappointed. They felt betrayed when they found this out because they all went into this to genuinely get to know Taylor,” the insider explained.

Meanwhile, the future of Season 22 remains uncertain. Insiders close to the network claim that the team behind the long-running show is in full-blown crisis mode after Cinnabon, a promotional partner for both The Bachelorette and SLOMW, backed out of their agreement. The company said that the partnership no longer aligned with its brand values.

With advertisers fleeing, their leading lady under investigation, and the cast feeling uneasy, the team behind The Bachelorette has some serious decisions to make. Do they move forward with an accused abuser, or do they pull the plug before this mess hits our screens?

The Bachelorette airs on Sunday, March 22, at 8/7c on ABC. You can stream it the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
