Chris Pratt recently revealed that his younger kids have not watched any movies yet, much less any of his. The Marvel star is currently busy promoting “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” which is scheduled for release on April 1. He stopped by the TODAY show to talk about reprising his role as the lead character.
Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger’s kids have yet to watch a movie
Chris Pratt tied the knot with Katherine Schwarzenegger in June 2019 after dating for over a year. The couple shares three children: Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and Ford, 16 months. While speaking to Craig Melvin on the TODAY show’s March 17 episode, Pratt reflected on one of Schwarzenegger’s rules that has kept their kids away from movies. He said, “My 5-year-old, my 3-year-old and my 1-year-old have never seen movies.”
The “Parks and Recreation” alum continued, “Katherine is very old-school when it comes to screens and technology and all of that stuff. So, we’re waiting.” He is looking forward to the day his younger kids watch his movies. He said, “There’s gonna be a season, they’re gonna realize their dad is really cool. They haven’t realized it yet, but one day.”
Pratt also shares a 13-year-old son, Jack, with ex Anna Faris. The actor stated that Jack has watched The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the first film adaptation of the iconic video game. “My 13-year-old, I took him to a screening of the first movie. He thinks it’s pretty cool,” he said.
The upcoming animated movie will see Mario, Luigi, and their new friend Yoshi join forces with Princess Peach and Toad to go to outer space. The team meets Princess Rosalina there, and together, they face off against Bowser and his son, Bowser Jr. Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic directed the film from a script by Matthew Fogel. The star cast also includes Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, and Brie Larson.
