The door to an exclusive club may be permanently closed to Keith Urban. The country singer’s divorce from Nicole Kidman is said to be the reason he no longer frequents A-list parties in Hollywood.
Even if he wanted to go, Keith may no longer be welcome at big Hollywood events. “He’s just not on those guest lists anymore,” a source says.
Nicole and Keith officially divorced in January after nearly 20 years together. They have two daughters.
Keith Urban’s “access came with the relationship”
Keith and Nicole’s divorce has cost the former plenty. During their time together, they attended their share of fancy events, many featuring Hollywood celebrities.
The Grammy Award winner previously had an in to these exclusive events. That was his ex, Nicole, who often had him as her plus-one.
Speaking with Rob Shuter’s Substack, Naughty But Nice, a source says that Keith’s “access came with the relationship” to Nicole. Now that the marriage is over, apparently so are his exclusive invitations.
In addition to losing the privilege of attending those Hollywood events, the Stupid Boy singer may have lost something far greater: his daughter. There’s a belief that he and Sunday Rose, his oldest girl, aren’t on good terms. In an interview last weekend, Sunday didn’t mention Keith. That reportedly left him devastated.
Keith was overseas performing at the Oscars last Sunday, an event he had traditionally attended with Nicole by his side. Nicole presented the Best Picture award alongside her former Moulin Rouge co-star Ewan McGregor. The actress was seen with her and Keith’s two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, for an after-party.
Keith is set to go on the road for a new tour, playing in Highland, California, on Friday. As for Nicole, she has two movies in post-production. Practical Magic 2 and The Young People are due to be released later this year.
