American martial artist, actor, and cultural icon Chuck Norris has been rushed to hospital following a medical emergency in Hawaii. The 86-year-old is understood to have been on the island of Kauai when the unknown incident occurred.

Per TMZ, who broke the news, Chuck was “training on the island” of Kauai at the time of the medical emergency. “Whatever happened must have occurred quickly,” the outlet reported.
While it’s still unclear why Chuck was hospitalized, TMZ stated that he’s doing well. “A friend of Chuck’s was on the phone with him, and we’re told Chuck was in good spirits and cracking jokes,” the outlet reported.
Earlier this month, Chuck – who has appeared in movies like The Expendables 2 and Agent Recon – celebrated his 86th birthday. But, while celebrating, he reminded his fans that age is just a number.
“I don’t age. I level up,” he said in an Instagram post. “I’m 86 today!”
“Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young,” he went on, alongside a video of himself sparring with a martial arts trainer. “I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.”
Chuck went on: “Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know.”
In the comments section, there were plenty of well-wishes from fans celebrating Chuck’s birthday. And, of course, plenty of reminders of the icon that he is.
“Fun fact, this was only 0.0000000001% of Chuck Norris’s power,” someone said of the sparring clip. “The term ‘BC’ actually refers to ‘Before Chuck.’ His first birthday is what started the calendar,” said another fan.
