One of last year’s breakout TV stars is apparently making waves on the show everyone is talking about. Heated Rivalry struck a chord with audiences in its first season, turning the likes of François Arnaud into a household name.
The Montreal-born actor who plays Scott Hunter on the hit HBO series is reportedly becoming a major pain. “His ego is exhausting,” claims one source. They say that because of this, tensions are high as the show prepares for a second season.
The actor allegedly sees the other cast members as “supporting props”
The cast and crew of Heated Rivalry are said to be at their wits’ end with the French-Canadian. A source told RadarOnline that he sees himself as the star of the show while treating the other cast members as “supporting props.”
While some believe his ego is causing a rift on the show, François apparently doesn’t see it that way. “He genuinely thinks he’s the heart of the story,” explains an insider. That belief is beginning to irk those he works with.
In January, fans wondered how much harmony there actually was on the Heated Rivalry set. That’s because he unfollowed many people who work on the show, including executive producer Jacob Tierney and co-star Hudson Williams. Since the first season aired, François has been seen hanging out with Connor Storrie on numerous occasions.
With season two on the horizon and speculation of a spinoff, there’s worry that François’ plate is getting too full, too fast. François and his fellow cast members have been followed often since the first season ended, doing plenty of high-profile interviews.
Also, in January, François teased that his character Scott’s romance with barista Kip may reach another level in the next season.
