To say that things between Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen are messy would be the understatement of the year. Things continue to devolve between the two, and now Dakota is firing back at Taylor’s accusations, calling them baseless and untrue.

It’s a hot mess. The world is trying to wrap its mind around the controversy between The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives former couple. A video just surfaced of Taylor appearing to assault Dakota and throwing chairs at him.
The fallout of that video and the ongoing domestic violence allegations and investigation are being felt by everyone (and every show) involved. Currently, the network has canceled the latest season of The Bachelorette and halted production on SLOMW.
On the heels of the announcement about The Bachelorette, Taylor responded by claiming that she’s a victim of “extensive physical and mental abuse.”
Dakota spoke to TMZ about his response to his ex’s allegations.
“As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation,” he said. “I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focusing on our son and his safety. And I hope that Taylor will do the same.
Taylor already pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for the video incident, which happened in 2023. The court placed her on three years of probation.The Utah Division of Children and Family Services is currently investigating the couple, and both parties will have to undergo psychological evaluations.
As for the truth about the abuse allegations, time will tell how the latest investigation will pan out.
