According to TMZ, Dakota called the situation with Taylor “chaotic” and “frightening” in his court filing. On February 23, he was at Taylor’s house when they started fighting. The baby, who was asleep at the time, woke up due to his mother’s yelling and screaming.

During the fight, Taylor was “emotionally volatile” and said she wanted to hurt herself. Dakota tried to calm her down for her own safety and to reassure their child.

But after he put his son back to sleep and lay down with him, Taylor came in and yanked the blankets off of them. Again, Ever woke up crying due to his mother’s “aggressive behavior.” That’s when he decided to leave and take Ever home with him for both of their safety.

The following night, when Dakota was again at Taylor’s home, he alleges that she threw his phone into the wall and “physically blocked [him] from exiting.” When he went to his truck, Taylor followed him and continued yelling. As he tried to drive away, she “grabbed and squeezed” his face, threw a drink on him and struck parts of his car.

After suffering injuries in the attack, Dakota’s not only concerned for his own safety but for that of his son.

In addition to requesting temporary custody of Ever, Dakota’s petition also stipulated that his ex should not drink or use drugs during her parenting time.
