Utah Prosecutors Could Recall Taylor Frankie Paul on Possible Parole Violation

This week has been all about Taylor Frankie Paul, and it’s been a rollercoaster of updates. Her season of The Bachelorette was set to premiere on ABC on March 22. But, a recent video leak changed everything.

Specifically, a clip released of the altercation between Taylor and her ex Dakota Mortensen. This was the same incident that was a main topic of discussion in the premiere season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. After the video went viral ABC pulled her season of The Bachelorette indefinitely. However, it seems like that the season’s cancellation may be the least of Taylor’s problems.

For the 2023 video incident, Taylor pleaded guilty to a charge of abeyance of aggravated assault. Per the terms of her plea deal, she avoided jail time and was placed on probation. The probation was for three years, with an end date of August 2026.

Salt Lake County’s District Attorney Sim Gills recently reflected on the ongoing domestic assault investigation between Taylor and Dakota, and they are well aware of the situation.

“We have received the police report for the new allegations, and it is our understanding the case is being screened by the Draper City prosecutor. We requested the police report so our prosecutors could evaluate how those new allegations may affect the case for which the defendant is currently on probation,” he told TMZ.

Currently it seems like a race against time on the legal side. Prosecutors have until August to see if there’s means to revoke her probation based on the former couple’s current DV case. If so, then she may potentially face jail time.

The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are streaming on Hulu and Disney+
