Jessie J has revealed she recently suffered a pretty nasty injury. In a social media post on Saturday, the singer said she thought she’d broken her neck. And if you’re expecting a dramatic anecdote about the source of this nearly catastrophic injury, you’re not in luck.

Beware of car doors. That’s the lesson Jessie recently learned. The Price Tag singer ended up in hospital after whacking her head on the top of a vehicle door.
The songstress and cover girl uploaded a video to Instagram detailing the unfortunate incident. In it, she can be seen stepping into a minivan, saying: “I don’t mind squashing in the back.”
The video then cuts to her having an MRI scan in hospital. She wrote in the caption to the post: “I should of minded squashing in the back.”
The clip then shows her during rehearsal, where she explains: “Yeah, I just can’t move my head. I’m alright, I’ll just have to take some painkillers and march right through it. I just wanna kinda run down the show. I thought I broke my neck, but I haven’t. But I have really hurt my neck and my back. Don’t say it.”
Jessie is currently in China as part of her No Secrets tour. She’s had a pretty rough time in the lead up to it. She announced her breast cancer diagnosis in June 2025, and has since undergone a mastectomy. Just weeks later, she ended up back in hospital for a suspected blood clot in her lungs.
Still, it hasn’t been all bad – Jessie is touring with her two-year-old son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, whom she has previously described as her “best mate” and “little king.”
