Summer House alums Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner already evolved from reality TV stars to award-winning podcasters. Now they’re taking another giant career step into starring in a new Netflix comedy series.
The streaming giant is developing a new half-hour scripted comedy, to be co-written and headlined by the longtime besties. The show is to be produced by SNL alum Amy Poehler. 30 Rock writer Kay Cannon is also onboard as a co-writer and showrunner.
Set in NYC, the Untitled Hannah and Paige project portrays them as fictionalized versions of themselves. I’m seeing a modern-day Laverne and Shirley, as the ultimate ride-or-dies become the people they’ve always wanted to be.

According to Deadline, former bedbugs Hannah and Paige will executive produce. Amy and Kay will also executive produce the show for Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The project grew out of an idea by Paige and Hannah. The women first met while they both briefly worked at the same company in NYC. But they really got to know each other and became BFFs on Summer House. They both joined the show during Season 3.
Eventually, Hannah left Summer House after Season 5 to inaugurate her stand-up career. Paige followed after Season 9 to focus on her career as a fashion influencer.
Together they co-host their podcast Giggly Squad, which earlier this month won iHeart’s Podcast of the Year. They’ve also occasionally picked up the odd acting job, such as Mindy Kaling’s upcoming Hulu series Not Suitable For Work.
In May 2025, Hannah opened for Tina Fey and Amy with her stand-up routine. She also headlined a 2024 Netflix comedy special Hannah Berner: We Ride At Dawn.
