Ivanna Lisette Ortiz is maintaining her innocence. The woman on trial for attempted murder continues to plead her case that she had nothing to do with a high-profile shooting. She’s on trial for allegedly firing off multiple rounds at Rihanna’s home in Los Angeles.
This alleged incident took place on March 8 when an AR-15 rifle was heard firing off some shots. When the frightening events took place, Rihanna was at home with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, and their kids. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

The odds appear to be stacked against her, but Ivanna isn’t going down without a fight. She pleaded not guilty in court to the charges against her on Wednesday. Her attorney originally made that plea on her behalf this month before withdrawing it. Ivanna may be facing a hard road to freedom, or at the very least a costly one if she wants to get out of jail right now. TMZ reports that her public defender’s request for a reduced bond was rejected. Bail for her was set at $1,875,000.
On Wednesday, Ivanna waived her right to a speedy preliminary hearing. Following Rhianna’s house being under fire, police trailed Ivanna’s Tesla Model 3 into a shopping center parking lot. That’s where police eventually apprehended her. She is facing one count of attempted murder plus 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an occupied vehicle or dwelling.
Her freedom may not be the only thing she risks losing in this trial. Reports indicate that she could lose her professional license as a speech-language pathologist. She allegedly obtained that license in 2016, while it’s due to expire next year.
Some disturbing stuff is coming out about Ivanna which does not reflect well on her. Ivanna appeared to post about the Umbrella artist online while reportedly sharing videos in which she mentions the singer’s death.
