Rosalía Forced To End Show Abruptly Due to Health Issue

Despite her best efforts, Rosalía was forced to end a show in Milan early due to illness.

The Grammy winner attempted to do the best by her fans and push through feeling unwell during the stop on her Lux tour. However, the condition, revealed to be food poisoning, got the best of her, and she had to stop performing mid-show.

Rosalía apologized to fans, and later shared a health update on Instagram.

Rosalía tried to carry on but had to cancel mid-show

“I tried to do this show from the beginning, but I’ve been sick,” Rosalía told the crowd in a video captured by a concertgoer. “I have big-time food poisoning and I tried to push through until the end, but I’m feeling extremely sick. I’m puking out there. I want to give you the best show, and I’m basically on the floor trying my best.”

The Spanish singer told fans she “can try to keep going.” However, she was frank about her limitations. “At some point, I might have to stop.”

“I really want you to have the best experience,” she added. “I’ve never been in this situation before. I’m really trying to push as much as I can, but I’m in pain. I’m so sorry. I really wanted to be strong up here. Let me see if I can recover myself in any way.”

Later, she admitted defeat in her battle with the vicious illness. “I love you so much,” she told fans in her parting words. “I hope I can come back in better conditions.” Footage of an ambulance leaving the venue was captured by fans once the concert was over.

Rosalía gave fans an optimistic update after the show. On Instagram stories, she posted an image of herself receiving treatment on a hospital stretcher. “Feeling better,” she wrote. “Thank you so much for all the love and understanding from everyone who was there. Grazie Milano.”
