Anne Hathaway Feels ‘Very Defeated’ After Having Kids Due to This

Hollywood icon Anne Hathaway recently opened up about a feeling many parents tend to quietly wrestle with. This is, of course, the pressure to “have it all balanced.” In her latest conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, the “The Devil Wears Prada 2” actor admitted that since becoming a mother, the idea of any sort of balance doesn’t feel empowering for her anymore. She even confessed that it feels exhausting and even defeating for her.

Anne Hathaway reveals idea of balance leaves her feeling ‘defeated’ after kids

During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Anne Hathaway opened up about her life and ambition, dealing with aging, the super unexpected ‘fall’ in public, and, of course, finding her own way forward through it all.

During this process, she revealed how the idea of finding some sort of balance after having her kids with her husband, Adam Shulman, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, and Jack Shulman, leaves her feeling ‘defeated’.

Talking about this, she elaborated, “I just can’t tell you anymore what life is like without kids, but kids interrupt you all the time.” She explained that the concept of any sort of balance seems to be ‘too fragile’ a concept for her to work with. Discussing this idea, she further added, “My friends and I talk about it a lot, and we actually feel very defeated by the concept of balance.”

Furthermore, Hathaway also exclaimed, “If the weight shifts in one direction, you then have to bounce it up on the other side, and we find that it winds us up as opposed to making us steady!”

In addition, the “Ocean’s 8″ star theorized that the idea of harmony sounds much better than balance overall. She believes that harmony tends to be more forgiving, making it important. She elaborated on this, saying, “We’re like, ‘We seek to harmonize our life.”
